This mold will then be sent out to a lab for the veneers to be designed specifically for you. The process may take one to two weeks to complete and another appointment.

In the next appointment, it will be time to permanently attach the veneers to the patients’ teeth. This process is called “bonding”. Before the veneers are permanently attached to your teeth the dentist will place it in your mouth temporarily to ensure that the color and the fit are correct. Once it is determined that the fit and color is right then the porcelain veneers are attached to the teeth using a special cement. Once attached to the teeth the dentist will use a special light which will help the cement bond to the teeth and dry quickly.
After the dentist checks to make sure the drying process is complete and the patient is comfortable with the final fit of the veneers, a follow-up appointment will be scheduled. The follow-up appointment is to make sure the bonding has kept its structural integrity and to ensure that the gum tissue is not having any problems accepting the veneers.
